Sakshi murder case: police took remand for two days
New Delhi: After the murder of Sakshi in the capital Delhi, there are many questions to which the police are looking for answers. Sakshi, 16, was brutally murdered by Sahil in Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy area. The police are also probing whether the murder of the witness was pre-planned.

Sahil, who is claiming to be Sakshi’s friend, had an argument between the two. Sakshi had told Sahil to stay away from her. It is also said that Sahil lost his temper after seeing a tattoo of another boy’s name on Sakshi’s arm. Police sources say that it seems to be a crime of passion, so this angle will also be investigated whether the murder was pre-planned.
Sahil Khan had recently bought a long knife which was used in the murder. Police’s interrogation of him continues. He was produced in court today. Where he has been sent on 2 days of police remand.

Sakshi’s friend told the police during interrogation that Khan was not talking to Sakshi due to which he was angry. Another CCTV footage shows Sahil Khan walking on the road waiting for Sakshi.
Sakshi returned from the market and went to change clothes in the public toilet as she had to attend a birthday party. As she left, Khan stopped her in a lane in E Block at around 8.40 pm and attacked her. He continued to stab her even after several people passed by. A man is also seen trying to stop him for a while but he runs away after being threatened by Khan. Khan left the place only after he was absolutely sure that Sakshi was dead. Police arrived after about half an hour and took him to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.

After the assassination, Khan left the city and reached his home district of Bulandshahr. Using his relative’s phone, he called his father but coincidentally the police were also with him at that time. The police then reached Bulandshahr and after tracing the location of the cellphone, arrested Khan on Monday afternoon. Police said they did not receive any PCR call about the incident, but a local informed the beat constable over the phone at around 9.15 pm, following which police officials reached the spot.

The place where Sahil used to live is locked. Sahil Khan’s landlord Ramphool Singh told that Sahil lived with his parents and three sisters for two years. Neighbors said that Khan did not talk to anyone much. Khan’s Instagram account shows the mood he was in. Most of the pictures and videos show him smoking hookah with friends. Police questioned his friends and they told them that he had recently gone to Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Vaishno Devi with them.
