New Parliament Building: Our new parliament is ready. But there is a rar on cutting the lace. The date of May 28 is fixed. This day is the birthday of Veer Savarkar, who has been given the status of the most controversial historical personality by the current politics. That’s why the date of inauguration of the new parliament is also in dispute.

But Narendra Modi has come in the bottom of the controversy. Some are saying what was the need of Central Vista, while some are asking how the Prime Minister can inaugurate the temple of democracy? The question was led by Rahul Gandhi and today 19 parties are with him. Only one voice has been raised – Boycott, Boycott, Boycott.
What is the demand of the opposition on new parliament’s inauguration
The demand of the opposition is that President Draupadi Murmu should get the ribbon of the new parliament cut as she is the custodian of the constitution. On the other hand, Minister Hardeep Puri says that Indira Gandhi inaugurated the Parliament Annexe and Rajiv Gandhi inaugurated the library, so there was no ruckus. On this, the Congress says that Puri Sahib is a bureaucrat, he is not aware. They do not know the difference between the inauguration of the office and the inauguration of the Parliament.

To control the atmosphere, Amit Shah himself took the lead and sat down for the press conference. He threw Sangol’s panic. How at midnight of 14th August 1947, this Sangol became a symbol of British going to power which would be kept in the new Parliament. After this it is now being discussed that if Congress does not participate in this program, it will be an insult to Nehru. The Modi government has fielded an army of ministers.
Foundation stone not even inaugurated
Amidst all these controversies, President Draupadi Murmu is inaugurating the new building of Jharkhand High Court. The level of inauguration has definitely changed under Modi rule. I am not saying that the level has dropped. But Narendra Modi himself is inaugurating everything from Vande Bharat to UP’s Medical College, Airport, and new railway stations across the country. I was surprised last year when the CBSE board results were also released by the Union Education Minister. Earlier, the chairman used to do this work in the CBSE office.
There is no doubt that the Prime Minister is the head of the elected government. Can take credit for the achievements of the government. Can also inaugurate buildings built with our tax money. The tradition of cutting the lace has been an old one. For this, even the roads prepared by being built become old waiting for the suitable inaugurate.
We have been a part of such work culture. We are not surprised by this. How will it happen? What are we, when the ministers of the government would be left feeling sad. And Modi’s mantra has been that he does not just lay the foundation stone, he also does the inauguration. He also laid the foundation stone of Central Vista and it was completed on time. Due to this, his claim is made on the inauguration.
Opposition’s litmus test
As for whether the President or the Prime Minister should inaugurate it, I would definitely like to say that if Draupadi Murmu can inaugurate the High Court, she can also inaugurate the Parliament. But in his country, the President acts on the advice of the Council of Ministers. It is called rubber stamp. But is called the guardian of the constitution.
So what to believe that the Congress and the 19 opposition parties standing in support care about the dignity of the guardian of the Constitution. No. It is part of the vicious cycle of politics. Nitish Kumar and Arvind Kejriwal along with the Congress are not leaving any chance where the opposition unity against Modi will be litmus test.
The latest campaign is of Kejriwal. By issuing an ordinance, the Modi government has given the final authority to control the services to the Lieutenant Governor. Now this ordinance will be introduced in the Parliament to make it a law. The government may be defeated in the Rajya Sabha in the numbers game.
That’s why Kejriwal is checking whether all the opposition parties oppose the ordinance in his support or not. Before that, when the date of May 28 has come, Kejriwal has also approved the boycott of the Congress. On the other hand, Shiv Sena cannot protest in the name of Veer Savarkar even by mistake. That’s why Sanjay Raut has made it an issue to inaugurate with the PM.
Murmu’s support or Modi’s opposition

If there was so much love for the dignity of the post of President, then what happened at the time of Draupadi Murmu’s election would not have happened. Congress leaders even called Draupadi Murmu a chamcha. A leader told the leader of bad philosophy. On the other hand, BJP termed it as the result of low thinking for the tribal society in order to take political advantage.
Now, if the BJP was gaining pride by making the first tribal woman the President, then it would have inaugurated the Parliament House with lotuses by her. This would have added to Gaurav’s pride. The constitution does not even forbid it. So what does the constitution say? Take it in writing that there is no mention of who will inaugurate the parliament in the constitution. The builders would not have thought that by breaking all the signs of slavery, Modi would form a new parliament as well. Nevertheless, there are many provisions in the constitution which give an idea of the role of the PM and the President.
what does the constitution say
Article 79 – There shall be a Parliament for the country consisting of the President and the two Houses . Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Note that the Prime Minister is not mentioned in this article.
Article 74 (1)- Council of Ministers will be formed under the leadership of the Prime Minister. The President will dispose of his affairs according to the advice and cooperation of the Council of Ministers.
Article 87– The new session of Parliament will begin with the President’s address in which the agenda for convening the session will be told.
opposition’s three arguments against Modi
The first argument of the opposition is that there is no mention of the Prime Minister anywhere in the definition of Parliament. That’s why PM should not inaugurate.

Second, the Prime Minister is the leader of the Lok Sabha only and the Parliament is made up of both houses. Therefore, the President should inaugurate it.
Third, the Rajya Sabha is never dissolved. It is also called the Council of States. And its chairman is the Vice President. Therefore, the moral responsibility of inauguration after the President is of the Vice President.
