1. Accuracy: All news and editorial content shall be prepared with due care and verified through reliable sources before publication.
2. Fairness & Balance:We strive to present relevant facts fairly and provide concerned parties a reasonable opportunity to respond, particularly in reports involving serious allegations.
3. Editorial Independence:Editorial decisions shall be based on news value, public interest and journalistic principles, and shall not be influenced by political, commercial or personal interests.
4. Source Integrity:Sources shall be evaluated for credibility. Anonymous sources may be used only when editorially justified and in matters of legitimate public interest.
5. Separation of News and Advertising:Editorial content shall remain distinct from advertising, sponsored content and promotional material. Paid or sponsored content will be appropriately identified.
6. Privacy & Sensitivity:The privacy, dignity and safety of individuals shall be respected. Extra care shall be taken while reporting on children, victims, sensitive cases, health matters and vulnerable persons.
7. Digital & AI Content:Digital, user-generated and AI-generated content shall be appropriately verified before publication. Manipulated or misleading content shall not be presented as authentic.
8. Corrections:Factual errors shall be corrected promptly and transparently in accordance with the Jansandesh Times Correction Policy.
9. Conflict of Interest:Journalists and editors are expected to disclose relevant conflicts of interest that may affect editorial independence or credibility.
10. Public Interest & Accountability:Jansandesh Times welcomes legitimate feedback from readers and remains committed to accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.
