Two days after resigning from his position as Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan returned to Parliament on Monday, where NDA members began chanting, “Dharmendra Pradhan Zindabad.” Pradhan was greeted as a hero by NDA leaders.
BJP MPs gathered at the Makar Dwar entrance of Parliament.He smiled and offered a namaste by folding his hands. Party leaders welcomed him with a ceremonial cap and wrapped a scarf around his shoulders.
Dharmendra Pradhan Gets Hero’s Welcome
Pradhan had resigned as Education Minister on Saturday due to nationwide protests over the NEET paper leak. Following the approval of his resignation, Prahlad Joshi was appointed as the new Education Minister.
Congress Rajya Sabha MP Renuka Chowdhury criticized the situation, referencing the Bilkis Bano case, and stated, “Yes, why not? Isn’t this the same government that welcomes the killers and rapists of Bilkis Bano? This is the same Swami ji who used to garland those who raped girls, insulted them in the name of God, and granted them bail. No, what’s the big deal?This is exactly what is expected to happen.”

While at the Parliament premises, Pradhan met Congress MP Jairam Ramesh. They had a brief conversation, during which the Congress leader tried to mock him by saying, “It happens.” In response, Dharmendra Pradhan said, “Nothing happens.” He then added with a small smile, “I’m a street fighter, not an A.C.activist.”
