Students in Jharkhand are demonstrating, similar to the protests in Delhi, in response to alleged problems in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) exams.
The protest began due to concerns about irregularities in these exams and has now become a widespread movement. Student leader Devendra Nath Mahato has started a hunger strike, with students demanding the cancellation of the 14th JPSC Preliminary Test.
Mahato began the hunger strike on Sunday at the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi, where students are gathering for the protest. The CJP, founded by Abhijeet Dipke, has shown support for the students, stating that the party will back them in dealing with the issue.

The protest initially started as a small gathering at Vapu Batika Ground in Ranchi over alleged irregularities and paper leaks in Jharkhand recruitment exams but quickly turned into a larger movement. Protesters claim that paper leaks, recruitment issues and administrative problems have affected their career opportunities. Students accuse the authorities of not ensuring transparency in recruitment exams and say that multiple competitive exams have been compromised. The students are demanding a meeting with Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren, transparency in the exam process and an investigation into the alleged irregularities. They also want the immediate cancellation of exams related to the TDL Company and accountability for the alleged wrongdoing.

Abhijeet Dipke the founder of the CJP, addressed the issue on social media platform X, saying, “I spoke to the students protesting in Jharkhand over irregularities in JPSC and JSSC recruitment exams. The CJP stands with all the students in Jharkhand and supports their demands.”
