सिक्किम से एक दर्दनाक खबर आ रही है। जहां भारतीय सेना के 16 जवानों की दुर्घटना में मौत हो गई। वहीँ 4 जवान घायल हुए हैं। भारतीय सेना ने इसकी जानकारी देते हुए कहा कि सिक्किम के जेमा में शुक्रवार को आर्मी का ट्रक खाई में गिर गया। सेना ने बताया कि एक गाड़ी एक तीखे मोड़ पर फिसल गई और सीधे खाई में जा गिरी। इस गाड़ी के साथ दो गाड़ियाँ और थीं। तीनों गाड़ियाँ सुबह चटन से थंगू के लिए निकली थीं।
राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू और प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने इस हादसे पर दुःख जताया है और घायलों के जल्दी ठीक होने की कामना की है। प्रधानमंत्री ने शहीद जवानों के परिवारों को प्रधानमंत्री राहत कोष से 2-2 लाख रुपए और घायलों को 50-50 हजार रुपए देने की घोषणा की है।

रक्षामंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने भी इस घटना पर गहरा दुःख व्यक्त किया है। उन्होंने लिखा, “उत्तरी सिक्किम में सड़क दुर्घटना में भारतीय सेना के जवानों की जान जाने से बहुत दुखी हूं। देश उनकी सेवा और प्रतिबद्धता के लिए उनके प्रति कृतज्ञ है। मृतक जवानों के परिवारों को मेरी संवेदनाएं। घायल जवानों के जल्द ठीक होने की कामना करता हूं।
