Varanasi. Mukhtar Ansari, the notorious mafia of Purvanchal, has been sentenced to ten years by the Ghazipur MP MLA court. This sentence has been given to him in 5 cases including the 26-year-old Awadhesh Rai murder case. As soon as the cross-examination is completed by the MP MLA court, the court has imposed a sentence of ten years and a fine of five lakhs. Mukhter’s associate Bhim Singh was also sentenced to ten years imprisonment. This gangster case was registered against Mukhtar Ansari in 1996. Gangster action was taken against Mukhtar on the basis of five cases. Congress leader Ajay Rai’s elder brother Awadhesh Rai murder case and the murderous attack on Additional SP are also included in these five cases.
This was possible due to the strong testimony and advocacy of former minister Ajay Rai in the 26-year-old case. As soon as the court pronounced the sentence, he gave information through a video on social media. Thanking the Ghazipur court, he said, “Truth can be troubled, not defeated.” This has once again strengthened the faith of the common man in Satyamev Jayate.
